They’ve definitely got a chance at a front row lockout… but I would be surprised if both Merc drivers are on the podium at the end of the race.

The AI of f1 2011 was crap .. the AI of 2012 was less crappier for sure. But I agree.. still a lot of scope for improvement on AI.

The Ferrari was plenty fast. It was definitely the faster car in the second half of the season. No doubt about it.
What parallel universe were you seeing the f1 2010 season in?

I would have to disagree. Alonso is as good if not better than Webber in qualifying. Rosberg has good qualifying pace, but lacks consistency in quali pace as compared to Alonso

I agree that Alonso is modest in qualifying
There are only 2 people on the current grid that are better qualifiers than Alonso – Vettel and Hamilton.
I would hardly call that ”modest” .

Everyone had a level playing field when Pirrelli gave all teams the tyres. Some did a smarter job by adapting their car to find the optimum balance between speed and tyre wear… […]
