I’m not sure about shuttle buses – never seen those before.
They’re a little strict on alcohol – you can take it in but they may insist you remove the tops of the bottles, preventing you from taking lots of bottles into the circuit.
Im not going until the second week, so perhaps someone from the first test can post an update on logistics and…[Read more]

Hopefully they keep at least one of the current commentators, preferably both as they have a good partnership I think. Edwards and Coulthard can be a little ‘vanilla’, but having seen how bad it can be with Legard and the motoGP commentators on BT sport, I’m dreading a change there. If the commentators know less about the race than I do I tend to…[Read more]

With that settled, I suppose the next question is: who should the commentators be?

Hi. I’ve been to Circuit Cat for testing in 2008, 2009 and 2010 so my answers might be out of date.
1. You’ll probably find out next week about who’s driving when, but if you get there for three consecutive days then you’ll certainly be able to see all drivers as they usually either drive day 1&3 (or 2&4) or day 1&2 (or 2&4). [It’s getting…[Read more]

I’m sure some people will complain, but for me The Chain and F1 are synonymous. It’s not like it’s hugely important though, they still have to get the rest of the show right :).

I’m very happy with this. When you think of music associated with F1, you think of The Chain. It’s just meant to be. Thank you Channel 4. Already doing better than ITV.
@atticus-2 I don’t know if you finished it, but the survey ends at 42 or 44%, so don’t worry. I did it in about 15 minutes, but some of the options were weird/taken from another question (for example at favourite team, how dangerous is it).
Anyway, hope it helps :)
I like your quiz, I really do because it’s very deep, sufficiently deep for a very detailed study, but…
That’s the hard truth.
I’m sitting here for more than 15 minutes now and I’m barely past 30%. Now I guess if you just carelessly check all the boxes you’re asked about, you can do it in 12-15 minutes, but I think anybody…[Read more]

F1 has a new home but some things just have to remain: we're chuffed to announce that The Chain by Fleetwood Mac will be our title music.

The track is 4.13km, clockwise, and has 14 turns. I moved the pit lane to a longer straight for more room. Other than that, I generally tried to follow the layout of the existing track, with some different shaped corners that are more…[Read more]
Dear motorsport enthusiasts,

This will take between 12-15 minutes of your time. I promise: NO real sponsor questions! The results will be published free of charge at the start of the F1 season.

Revised Anderstorp Circuit
The pit lane will remain in it same location, and the front of it will become the new S/F line. My distance markers aren’t correct…the S/F would be located somewhere around 2.6km on the map.
I’ve copied a few of my favorite corners from other tracks. T1-3 mirror Yas…[Read more]
Although I mapped it out so you go up the main straight into the infield bit first, I would like to to judge it the other way round as I feel it flows a bit better that way and that first turn with another piece of track on the outside would be too dangerous. So the Pits and start finish would be on…[Read more]
The new Anderstorp Motorbana
– 5.1km clockwise circuit
– Uses same basic design of the previous circuit though the track length and amount of corners has increased.
– New pitlane would be along the longest straight.
– A variety of corners, notably the fast turn 2 chicane, and Istanbul Turn 8 style corners…[Read more]
