Excursion e-ticket arrived yesterday; so now all flights, tickets, hotels and car hire in place for LM 2014.

This is a very interesting question, however we know very little so far other than :-
Mercedes engines appear to be good, but certainly not bulletproof
Renault and Red Bull in particular appear to have PU issues
But who is really fast?
Who has tyre wear issues or even if there will be tyre wear issues?
Who will even finish the race distance in Melbourne?
Will we even have ten finishers?
The winner in Melbourne could be a driver and/or tem that has never won before….Bottas? Hulk? Magnussen?
Its a crap shoot and the renault teams seem to have one die!!Williams have gone to great lengths to talk about “succession planning”; Brawn would at best be interim at 58 yo whereas Toto was 41 yo……Toto has used Williams as a stepping stone and they will feel betrayed, its that sort of business at Williams…..i would love to see him at McLaren, esp as he is ex Ferrari
Looks like Brawn gone (booo) and Fry gone (yeeha)…….the appointment of Nikki makes sense now, he was the broom!!………….they have sooo many chiefs at this team, i fail to see how Bob Bell fits in now that Lowe is arriving……and as for where Brawn goes now??
I will be watching ALMS intently this year and am disappointed by it demise; Jim France is in charge and Panoz doesnt seem that interested in Le Mans or the WEC now as per his quote “The WEC is basically an event of LMP1 cars and some people who like to travel,” ……….the heady days of the noughties with Audi R8s and Porsche LMP2s battling around the USA; and the US Corvettes and Flying Lizards coming over to La Sarthe is over as Mr France will internalise the whole bloody thing for US audiences only.
So cross i feel i should boycott the Daytona coverage this weekend; but i know i wont.
