No worries MGP. I took it for what it was; a racing incident.

    welsh_cr’s race review – Australia

    Qualifying:

Blown away by the competition. That’s how I’d describe the massacre that was quali lol. I have to give massive kudos to the top 5 or 6 guys as they were untouchable. There was some fantastic sportsmanship, especially when people spun and tried their absolute hardest to keep out of the way of people on fast laps. I’ve seen far worse while online before with “randoms” and it was thoroughly refreshing.

    Race:

Starting from the back I had a lot to gain, and not much to lose. I made 3 or 4 places in the first corner, and again at corner 3, making my way up to 6th (or there-abouts).

I passed a spun Force India, and got a 10 sec penalty (it was yellow flag conditions, but he was pointing the other way (stupid coding); I know some people didn’t understand the penalty they received, but this is how I saw it).

Coming out of turn 6, there was a spun Ferrari on the left hand side of the track, and the red bull on my left took avoiding action. I kept my foot in (in retrospect braking was probably the better option) and after taking avoiding action myself, found myself in the wall, and pointing face against it. By the time, I’d let everyone through, and completed a 3 or 4 point turn, I was 30+ secs off the back of the pack, which is where I stayed. I dropped it to 14-15 seconds by the chequered flag, but as all good race drivers do, found the good in it and decided finding 20-odd seconds in 11 laps was respectable :P

    Quick Singapore Review

Qualified 8th, and made it to 1st with some awesome late braking in corners 1 and 3. Was having a decent fight with the Mercedes GP car, but we got out wheels locked together and both went off at turn 8. In my defence here, I had braked adequately for the corner, but the opportunistic late braking of my competitor dragged us both into the run-off when our wheels intertwined.

Came back on in 8th or 9th, and fought fantastically with some of the other guys (lotus/Mercedes GP) to 6th, before spinning on the last lap to take 7th. I dropped two places to 8th after the spin, but have no idea where the guy in 7th went. herd lots of cursing, so maybe he spun himself :/

special mention to smifaye for some amazing racing in singapore. Made most of us others look like amateurs in quali and the race (maybe we are…..)

Hey guys, my names Ciaran. I’m new to this thread, but was racing two of your competitors last night, Rumblylizard and Ajokay and they were telling me all about what’s going on. Sounds like a brilliant idea.

I was reading the last few posts, and it like you are full, and have a few reserve drivers already, but I’ve got both the afore mentioned guys in my friends list and will be practising with them this morning, so if you need someone short notice, I’d be happy to oblige.

Regardless of the out come, good luck to everyone (maybe a bit more to Ajokay ….not that I’m bias or anything :P) and does anyone know if spectating is a possibility?
