Nice coincidence that Bahrain first night race is exactly 100 GPs since the first ever night race.
I figure I would bump this.
Time for a tough question.
What do Stirling Moss, Jackie Stewart, Ronnie Peterson, Niki Lauda, Nelson Piquet, Jacques Villeneuve, Giancarlo Fisichella, Fernando Alonso and the winner of the 2014 Bahrain grand prix all got in common?
What a terrible way to end the race.
A phantom caution for no reason other than to bunch the pack/create drama and then a terrible call for “avoidable contact” when there was no contact.
Both drivers are awake and talking at hospital they are being further observed.
Sounds even better from the Toro Rosso.
Hearing reports that his condition may have deteriorated and that a statement should be written in the next hour from the hospital.
I’m hoping these reports are false.

Not 100% sure on how legit this article might actually be but the layout doesn’t look too bad.
I’d rather have team chosen car numbers to be honest but even that would still be too gimmicky.
I just really don’t see why this is a thing that is being brought up. There are many more important issues that need to be dealt with and the current system works brilliantly.
There are no testing bans for the engine manufacturers though so this is perfectly fine.
Remember Ferrari as an F1 team and Ferrari as an F1 engine maker are really 2 separate things.
Adding to the horribly bad ‘Tilke’ style proposals of old circuits here is the 1984 Monza proposal.

The original layout looked like this.
- The circuit must be between 4 and 6 kilometres.
- You must use the same start line and pit buildings but the few buildings in the centre of the track can be destroyed.
- You cannot build outside of this boundary
Because Niki is currently non-executive chairman of Mercedes F1.
Same reason they won’t do a Lewis Hamilton Tooned 50.
Also he was ‘Lautfinger’ in the James Hunt episode.
