The Force India VJM06 proved kind to its tyres which rewarded the team highly in the opening races of 2013 when the rubber was particularly fragile.
In the second half of the year the change in tyre construction left them on the back foot and they went through a point-less spell, but recovered to beat Sauber to sixth in the constructors’ championship.
