Antonio Pizzonia has been dropped by Fisichella Motor Sport as had been widely predicted.

The team will run Adam Carroll at Magny-Cours this weekend and throughout the remainder of the season if he continues to perform. The team had tested Ernesto Viso with a view to drafting in the Venezuelan.

Carroll left GP2 for the DTM this year but struggled to make an impression in his 2005 specification Audi.

Carroll raced in GP2 in 2005, winning three rounds for Super Nova including the Monte Carlo race. But no more wins came his way in 2006 with Racing Engineering.
