Massa deve voltar no GP do Japão

Massa to return at the Japanese Grand Prix? (Portuguese)

My life in cars: Sebastian Vettel

Vettel on Schumacher: “I grew up with posters of him on my bedroom wall. It’s a huge surprise for everybody and I think a lot of fans will be very happy to see Michael in Formula One again.” (Via Dank on Twitter)

There’s no such thing as a discount

"There have now been reports of Montreal being offered a much cheaper deal, which will cost the city only $75m. This would mean an annual payment starting at around $12m, rising to $17m by the end of the deal. This is around half the going rate and it is very surprising that FOM would even consider such figures. However, in order to get such a deal the Canadian authorities would also have to pay the debts from the previous contract. These could be in the region of $60m, so the resulting deal, while easier to present to the taxpayers, would still amount to around $130m for FOM."

Herbert to move to BTCC

If all goes to plan BTCC fans will get a chance to see [Johnny] Herbert in action at Silverstone at the end of August, Rockingham on September 20 and Brands Hatch on October 4.

  1. Wow I’d love him to return in Brazil and do well. If he won it would be the ultimate fairytale

  2. If Massa can do a couple of races this year, it will be massively helpful to show everybody he hasn’t lost any speed.

That’s probably better than finding Alonso on the other side of the garage on his competitive return to Ferrari…

  3. Herbert upstages Schumacher once again ;)

    Go Johnny!

  4. Love the opening paragraph of the Massa story, regarding the most common question amongst F1 fans:

In Brazil: When is Massa returning to F1?
Outside Brazil: When is Mass–OMG MICHAEL SCHUMACHER YAY

    1. Spot-on amigo ;)

    2. Schumacher Nay!!

  5. Massa back on track at Interlagos is my guess… Although it will be interesting if he’s fit for Suzuka seen as it’s one of Schumacher’s favourite tracks along with Spa.

  6. Another brazilian site says Alonso and Ferrari have signed the deal 6 months ago, with informations from a guy from Santander. According to the same guy, in Monza they will declare the partnership of Ferrari and Santander.

  7. Great article about Montreal, although whoever puts together the next USGP should get the same discount…….

  8. I would be very surprised if Massa gets back into his Ferrari again this year.
I think they need Schumacher to help them make it a race winner again.

He can’t help them now – he’s called off his comeback.

While Schumacher was planning his return to F1, I hope Ferrari were also making Gene or Badoer ready as well just in case. If they haven’t, they have just lost two weeks of vital preparation time.
Schumi’s decision *not* to return is now being reported on most news sites. I sympathise with the man, but it does look as though Ferrari have planned badly.

  9. Do you mean Japan, Suzuka not been on the calendar for ages!

    1. Suzuka is on this year’s calendar.

  10. Well, I’m happy to be wrong – Let’s hope Massa is fully recovered.

    Welcome back Felipe.

Great to see him recovering well a part of me is still bitterly disappointed that Schumi aint coming back but it will be great for F1 to see a driver who had a horrific accident return and do well although has Massa considered the other factors in his life his family his gonna be a father I understand wouldn’t it be a better option to sit out the rest of the season see his child’s birth then next year come back with a greater motivation. Just give Badoer his 15 minutes of fame Lol but saying that who knows which seat Alonso will take from a Ferrari driver in 2010 the plot thickens :D

good to see that Massa has recovered well and quickly and hope that he takes this timer off and comes back into driving soon. Anyway it was good to see that schumacher gave it all to try and take up Felipe massa’s driving spot probably for the season but unfortunately that troubled neck went and crush Drivers and people dreams I was looking forward to see him take on Lewis Hamilton Maybe go wheel 2 wheel with each other.
    Good your feeling better Felipe

    Anymay not blaming schmi

  14. Massa should take the rest of the year off and not try to race too soon.

If he injures himself again, he’ll never race again.
