Previously it seemed drivers could do what they liked to defend position. Yesterday’s decision will hopefully set a new precedent for a better standard of driving in motor racing.

Red Bull fly to victory but FIA set to clip their wings (Red Bull race review)

It reached a peak of 1.214 seconds per lap – the gap between pole-sitter Vettel and third placed Fernando Alonso in qualifying. But the flexing front wing which helped them achieve such amazing speed is likely to be outlawed at the next race.
