    1. Delighted with Fernando’s p2 but at the same time I’m so frustrated as I really, really thought he could win. Ifs and buts though. I have to say since Fernando has came to Ferrari I have been completely overwhelmed by his performances almost every weekend. I almost can’t remember the days of Kimi & Felipe.

Please don’t get me started on Felipe’s DNF :P

      1. I’m sad for both Fernando and Kamui, if the race hadn’t been red-flagged but continued behind the SC (even if it was not possible as Petrov was injured) both of them could have provided good entertainment. I hoped Alonso won and Kamui ended on the podium, but as Button was superb I hope the finishing order was:
        1 – Alonso
        2 – Button
        3 – Kobayashi
with Vettel crashing whilst defending from Alonso or pitting.

        1. almost same as what I think. It was great race. that is why I’m so dissapointed.

    2. I wonder whether one of the teams who lost out at the restart may be complaining that the re-start may not have happened, due to a bit of an ambiguity in the re-start rules.

During a race suspension, the 2 hour clock doesn’t stop. However, the length of the suspension gets added to the 2 hour limit. Thus, if the 2 hour time limit is reached before the restart, the race should end.

We know the race re-started at 6 minutes past the hour… I’m not sure, however, when the clock was started… On the green light for the formation lap? When the lights went out?

If we did hit 2 hours before the re-start, then if I were williams or sauber, I’d be trying have the result taken from before the re-start.

    3. Great race, unfortunately Vettel won. I hope Hamilton is black flagged, he has gone crazy.

      1. There was an element of frustration, but I think he feels robbed. He gave schumacher plenty of room at the hairpin on lap 1, yet when he went for an overtake nobody gave him any room.

        1. Driving out frustration will get you nowhere, no wonder he finished poorly.

    4. I just found out that Hamilton was the last car on the lead lap, so he won’t lose anything with a 25 second penalty. He’ll keep 6th.

      1. Thanks for that. Lewis has just completely lost his head on the BBC F1 forum.

        1. I missed that what did he say? I am a big Hamilton fan but he drove like a complete tool today, he was unlucky at times but ultimately he made some terrible mistakes.

          1. Ham: I’ve been to the stewards 5 times out of the last 6 races. It’s a joke. Absolute freakin’ joke.
[On Massa] “I got the penalty as usual…”

When asked why he made a joke he said “because I’m black well, that’s what Ali G says” but that joke has caused a bit of a stir on Twitter.

      2. I wondered how he was relatively ahead considering his approach to the race, with pit stop errors and crashes. I like him being aggressive but in Monaco it’s impossible. His pass on Schumacher was wonderful, but the one on Massa was awful: where did he think Felipe would have gone? He was on the outside all the time and Lewis just kept pushing him on the side, and his pass on Maldonado was lucky as it could’ve ended his race too.

    5. Hamilton is having a PENALTY weekend in Monaco. Seriously,he has to calm down..

      1. He does. I appreciate his enthusiasm…but calm down Lewis, it’s doing you no favours.

Rules are rules whether or not you agree with them.

    6. A good result I think. I like seeing Jenson on the podium.

Great result for Barrichello and Kobayashi as well.

    7. Well…my predictions were dreadful but I managed to put Vettel as P1. I got another top 3 of the 5 right…just not in the right order!

    8. Vettel is more than two race wins in front now, but despair not I recall Hakkinen being in a similar situation in 2000 so you never quite know, Vettel is bound to have an off day at some point and if he has a retirement or two the championship will be really open again.

The pace of Ferrari and Mclaren is improving too :), good to see two teams closeby as ferrari, mclaren and Webber could help knock more points off vettel.

A wet race would be cool too, a wet race at Canada is very overdue

    9. Nice points for Kobayashi ! 10 points mean he doubles his points tally and passes Schumacher for 10th. Carry on KK !

    10. At one point I saw Liuzzi way behind Karthikeyan… but Tonio once again beat him!
Toro Rosso seem to have varying performances, with good free practices some times but bad qualifying. Alguersuari and Maldonado are the only two of the established teams to have still 0 points.

    11. Will probably get slated for this but I think Kobayashi has been the second best driver this season (behind Vettel)although Alonso and Hamilton are close by. He keeps managing to put the Sauber in points scoring positions even if he has had problems in quali, I think Buemi has been quite good too.

Out of the rookies so far I think Di Resta has been the best but D’Ambrosio has been pretty good, Perez has shown flashes of quality while Maldonado has picked up in the last 2 races.

    12. Good result for Kobayashi & Sutil.
