    1. Jenson Button Almost had the FIRST perfect race weekend!

(Topping every practice session, Pole Position, Race win, and Fastest Lap)

Only thing Jenson didnt get was Pole Position.

      1. @elliothorwoodf1 But he only missed out by .009s. I don’t know if he feels good or bad about that.

        1. I believe he might think “Good. Not great but enough” :D

      2. I think it was also his first win for Mclaren in ‘dry’ conditions no?

    2. Fantastic race from top 3!! I’m sure most people would admit Button did better this year than Hamilton if not better driver! Fight back from Alonso was also amazing.

      1. I think this year these 3 on the podium have really been the best drivers so far. Vettel had a moment in the race were he looked like losing his composure behind the Virgin, but he got back on it and closed up nicely behind Alonso.

Great composure of McLaren and Button too to let Alonso close up right to the limit of the DRS activation then get in a couple of fast laps and parking it right after the flag was down.

        1. I have to admit I was disappointed a little when Button picked up the pace though :P

          1. And Jenson finished the race on fumes, didn’t he? His car could have stopped a stone’s throw from the flag. Now I would have enjoyed that.

      2. I now rate Button just behind Alonso and Vettel and ahead, quite a bit, of Hamilton. Normally I’d put Alonso-Vettel-Hamilton in the top 3, very near, but the way Button has matured and Hamilton has become a frickin’ joke forced me to change my view. I’m sure Lewis could easily get back to form.

    3. JB was absolutely terrific this weekend. Alonso was mighty today. They made the race for me. watching them on such superb form was electric

      1. Quite similar proceeding to Monaco but no red flag, reversed position. No overtake on the track still I think better than Monaco. the tension of Monaco was absolute but red flag ruined all of it.

      2. @Steph It’s like we were looking at the sort of battle we will look back at in years with wonderful memories.

    4. Anyone knows what Button means with his ‘W’ sign, which hè exchanged with his girlfriend?
Is it now fashionable to have your own special handgesture in F1?

      1. It’s “W” for “Winner”

    5. Button and Alonso did a fantastic job, and of course Vettel did what he had to do. Schumacher also had a very good race, as did Perez, well done to them. Disappointing from Kobayashi, Sauber’s strategy of stopping fewer times than their rivals seems to only work for Perez.

      1. Kobayashi most of the time is as fast as perez but he (kobayashi) has bad luck.Look when he past a toro rosso today he can do that alot more often if he had a better car like last years japan gp.

        1. Kobayashi said that the safety car timing was terrible for him. I felt sorry for him whilst watching his interview, he really looked disappointed.

    6. I think its worth mentioning that Petrov started one place behind Senna but finished 7 ahead in P9:) Well done, Vitaly…oh and Perez had a good race too:)

      1. Lex, a lot of Senna falling back was down to a botched pitstop that cost him 4 seconds and dropped him down at a bad time.

I think Kobayashi will be much more disappointed to start 10 places ahead of Perez and finish 8 places behind him!

        1. definitely.

    7. Great result and wonderful to see a nice, mixed podium. Very impressed with Perez, Schumacher and Petrov.

Good to see Ricciardo still putting one over Liuzzi.

    8. Disspointing performance from Senna & Kobayashi.

      1. I agree with you; I was underwhelmed as I expected both to score some good points. Both had dreadful starts which devastated their races, and they each were hampered by problems outside of their reach, like the safety car affecting Kobayashi and his pit strategy and Senna’s botched pit stop. However, Kobayashi did have a great pass on Alguersuari at the hairpin.

    9. First time ever one of the new teams wasn’t lapped (both Lotus)

      1. @Goofy Someone pointed that out on Twitter. A great achievement for the team. Onwards and upwards!

      2. @goofy great effort but saved by the safety car I guess
