@deongunner Well, the champion is HaMilton hahaha

      Meh

      1. I mean he really deserve the championship

  3. Eleven race wins. The best man won. What on earth happened to KMag? I thought he was running well at one point. Nil points? That wasn’t on McLarens agenda surely?

    1. Button vs Magnussen
      126 points vs 55 points
70% vs 30% of the teams points
JB has beaten KM 15 out of 19 times(or 18 if you take JBs technical DNF into account)

He always goes so quietly about his business, it’s easy to not notice what a superb job he does.
A shame that he was not even given the respect he deserved at this last GP. Shame on you Ron and Eric. Jenson deserved much better after 15 years in the sport.

      1. Sorry; was meant for another post

    2. @baron No pace on the supersofts apparently

  4. Kevin was keeping pace with Buttton one moment then was called in for a stop and just vanished.

  5. It would have been nice if ANYONE had mentioned Jules Bianchi today.

    1. All the warm words in the world won’t make any difference. All one can do is hope and pray that he makes a recovery. Whether he does or not is out of our hands, unfortunately.

It would have been nice if YOU had mentioned Michael Schumacher today.

      1. MS is a retired legend who was injured off-track. JB is an active colleague in hospital since injured in an F1 race *this* season. I see them as different situations. And yes, I realize that kind words and warm thoughts won’t trump medical realities, but it would be pleasant, classy, and appropriate for the announcers, team principles, engineers, and drivers to at least ACT as if they cared enough about his situation to mention him. Nice internet moment to have my original post’s response be a sarcastic one. I’m sorry you felt the need to respond at all if your gut was to be snarky. I do think about MS a lot, FWIW. Ecclesiastes 9:11 and all that. Cheers.

        1. So, you have to mention something to care about it? And how do you know that *none* of the drivers, engineers, team principles [sic] and so on didn’t think about or mention Bianchi today? Were you monitoring every single conversation that every single one of them had at all moments?

You seem to be treating the absence of any verbal or written statements from the participants in today’s race as the absence of any continuing thoughts of or concerns at all for Bianchi’s well-being. That’s one heck of an assumption to make. The one doesn’t follow another. They still run the “Forza Jules” logos on many of the cars and here in the UK, Bianchi *was* mentioned in commentary and afterwards.

You ought to look up the meaning of the word “sarcastic” in the dictionary. My first paragraph contained no sarcasm at all. The second was accusing you of holding yourself to a different standard than everyone else, which strikes me as somewhat hypocritical.

That you think it necessary to write something like “I’m sorry you felt the need to respond at all if your gut was to be snarky” really boggles the mind. It’s not up to you whether other people post or not, and neither is it up to you what their posts contain. If you don’t like that, then that’s your problem, not theirs. Your pity is misplaced (and annoying).

          1. All I said was “it would have been nice if ANYONE had mentioned Jules Bianchi.” Do you disagree? Would it not have been nice? From all of that you have inferred a lot of things and called me a lot of names. Is this really a fight you want to pick? Is there nothing better to do with your time than argue with someone about whether or not it would have been nice to mention Jules Bianchi? What’s your problem?

In any case, you may have the last word if you wish. I apologize for posting something with which you disagreed, that it would have been nice if anyone had mentioned Jules Bianchi. Sorry for any inconvenience.

          2. Just in case there is any confusion, I am not talking about posters here. I am referring to the drivers, team principles, retired speakers, announcers, and other talent who were on the US telecast. JB wasn’t mentioned once. And when I say “nice” I mean thoughtful and *smart*. If the same thing happened in NASCAR, every winner would mention JB and Jesus about 10 times any time someone put a mic in his (or her) face. Is that because of who they are or how they’re prepped…I dunno. Hopefully both.

  6. Daniil Kvyat’s reason for retirement is listed as “Kvyat.” File that one under “harsh, but fair.”
