I really need the top 5 to reach the finish line exactly in that order, to reach the 50 points in the predictions championship. @racerdude7730 , you have my same prediction but better pole accuracy… let’s hope we get the prices this weekend.

  2. Excellent three hour show on NBC Sports, lots of post qualifying driver interviews with Will B, I really hope, with the exception of maybe Bob Varsha back with the lads, ESPN keep the team intact.

    1. I thought ESPN would be using the Sky UK feed? No local commentators.

      1. Sky always has something odd during the broadcast and I don’t mean Johnny Herbert.
During the story about Hartley and Kvyat they played Lou Reed’s Heroin.
        Nearly chocked on me coffee!

  3. Will be very happy if the top five don’t take each other or themselves out of competition. Want to see a serious, hard fought contest for the win!!!

  4. Verstappen strategy looks weird. He uses two sets of tyres in Q2 and Q3 to end up P17 in the grid. Had he done the same as Hulk and skipped Q2 and Q3 he would have ended up in P18. Which means that moving up from P18 to P17 has cost him two sets of new tyres and starting the race in used tyres. What’s the point? He surely would be better off starting from P18 in fresh tyres and having two extra sets of new tyres available for the race…

    1. But he believes he could have been, had he had a faultless lap, about at Vettel’s time @alonshow, that would have put him three or four places higher up. I still think you have a point, but at least it isn’t as bad a deal as it now seems!

  5. So with all the penalties, the effect for Hulkenberg and Verstappen is big, while Vandoorne only loses one spot, Hartley two, Stroll and Magnussen (only ones penalised for a racing issue …) actually gain a spot, like those un-penalised on the 6th-11th gridslot. And Sauber gains 3 and 4 places for Ericcson and Wehrlein because they got stuck in Q1 but didn’t have penalties.

    1. It’s embarrassing! At least I hope they bump the engine total up to 5 again next year.
On some level it’s quite entertaining to see the grid mixed up that way, as it could give an interesting start, but fair it is not.

      1. And actually @testacorsa, it seems I am already wrong, because Vandoorne now has another few penalties for a faulty MGU-H (I thought they said they fixed the reliability there, guess not) to put him, I think, 19th, with everyone from 15th on, apart from Hartley, moving up a spot.
