Format buttons gone missing from comment windows?

Anyone else missing the format buttons from the comment boxes below articles?
Not sure exactly since when, as I haven’t posted much during the weekend, but I noticed today and yesterday that the buttons for easy formatting have gone missing (for me?). This is just the ones for commenting on articles, the forum ones are there as they used to be.
It’s been that way for quite some time. @keithcollantine should they return why don’t reintroduce them as physical tags instead?
