10th April 2011, 12:42 at 12:42 pm #166447LolaF1ParticipantI made a boo boo, I miss read the Best commentary moment as worst commentary moment. Best commentary moment is when it all started.
10th April 2011, 12:44 at 12:44 pm #166448AnonymousInactiveBest Driver: Button/Heidfeld
Worst Driver: Pastor Maldonado/Rubens Barichello
Best Team: Renault (sorry, can’t make myself call them Lotus because it confuses me) which would have had awesome result today if it hadn’t been for Petrov’s off.
Worst Team: Williams
Best Overtake: Buemi and Hamilton on Schumacher
Best Funny-moment: Vettel being told not to use KERS with Vettel being last to get that message properly after having ignored it to set fastest lap and McLaren had informed their drivers that Vettel’s KERS wasn’t working and the accompanying commentary.
Most Surprising Result: Williams’ two retirements. Again.
Least Surprising Result: Vettel
Special Mention to: Kobayashi fighting all race long with Schumacher, Webber, Petrov and whoever else was close on track and still almost making the most of a sub-optimal 2-stop strategy. And as Brundle almost finished saying in commentary, making clean moves himself while allowing other drivers to make their moves and not feeling the need to push them off the track. Also to Petrov for following in Kubica’s footsteps and taking to the skies in an F1 car ;)
Race Rating: 8/10
Best BBC commentator/presenter: Brundle+DC
Worst BBC commentator/presenter: Jake+Eddie
Best Commentary moment: DC getting comfortable enough to interrupt Brundle when appropriate
Overall BBC coverage rating: 7/10
