Confusion over engine tokens once you go elsewhere in the W3

I think readers of F1F understand what engine tokens are pretty well.
….and having used F1F as my main source of f1 news for such a time I found it surprising when I went elsewhere only to find comments on http://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/ferrari-rules-out-using-engine-tokens-for-canada …….commenters knowing about tokens as much as most people know about how to use GNU Readline in GNU BASH.
So…….any comments about how un-understood tokens seem to be?
