I found this article online which made for an interesting (albeit nonsensical and entirely fictitious) read!

The list looks at every World Championship since 1950 and re-adjusts the final standings on the basis that every previous World Champion retired immediately after succeeding.
Interestingly, no Champion since the early-1980’s would have won in their actual Championship year, while Villeneuve, Hamilton and Montoya would have won in their debut seasons.
It starts to get even more ridiculous towards the present day, with Hulkenberg (still yet to stand on a podium) triumphing in his 2013 Sauber.
Of course, absolute nonsense, but a funny read nonetheless!
