    Has anyone else seen this?

Ferrari did a 1.95 second pit stop for Alonso at Suzuka. The first pit stop in F1 history below 2 seconds.

And unlike McLaren, they aren’t boasting about the record either. :p

Looks like it could be but we don’t know who’s put the clock on here and whether it’s been done accurately. Could really do with Ferrari confirming whether it’s correct.

And didn’t you mean Red Bull instead of McLaren?:

Red Bull claim new pit stop record of 2.05 seconds

Also worth noting Alonso only had the second-quickest complete pit stop of the race, so Rosberg’s must have been pretty handy too:

There were claims Mercedes had done a record pit stop in Japan but as with this I haven’t seen any verification.

It hasn’t, at least not be the time measuring standards used for the FOM graphics. They always measure time from the point a car stands to the point it starts moving again, whereas this video looks at sheer working time. When done “properly”, I have a time of around 2.4 seconds. Still very much impressive, but no record.

Seems a bit pointless really, in a weekend where they dropped the ball in almost every other respect
