To help whet your appetite for the upcoming Australian Grand Prix, here’s some of the footage I took from last year’s amazing and dramatic event. As so many of you seemed to enjoy my start video that Keith chose to feature on yesterday’s round up, I thought I’d share the rest of them with you!

Sorry about the hijack of the thread Geoffrey
27th February 2011, 9:50 at 9:50 am #162200Magnificent GeoffreyParticipantNo, not at all! And please, if anyone else has any personal footage they’ve taken or have found from previous Melbourne races, feel free to post them here!
Yes I am going this year but I’ll be sat at the stand directly opposite, the one that I am facing in these videos. You will absolutely love it. It’s an entirely different experience from watching it on TV. Visually, aurally, spiritually – it’s simply an undescribable thing to see a truly chaotic Grand Prix unfold right in front of your eyes. Especially amongst 150,000 of your fellow Fanatics.
27th February 2011, 9:50 at 9:50 am #162201Tommy CParticipantI’ll be there! I was in a similar position to you last year Mag. G. Just on the opposite side in Jones! Twas a pretty awesome position on the first corner. This year i’ll be in the Waite stand at the end of the back straight. 1 month to go! So excited! See you all there!
27th February 2011, 9:54 at 9:54 am #162202AnonymousInactiveThanks Geoffrey, and great vids too by the way:)
27th February 2011, 15:58 at 3:58 pm #162203TommyBParticipantWatching that intro video makes me realise how much I love F1. Nothing comes close to the start of an F1 race, the tension is insane.
Thanks for sharing.

I really loved the crowd’s reaction to di Grassi (or was it Glock? I’ll never know…) repassing Schumacher.

DiGrassi.
27th February 2011, 18:16 at 6:16 pm #162207TomD11ParticipantCheers for sharing the vids, I needed something new to keep me going for the extra 2 weeks.
DiGrassi
No, it was actually Glock, although I think Brundle or Legard said it was di Grassi.
27th February 2011, 20:37 at 8:37 pm #162208US_PeterParticipantThose are all fantastic clips Mag! Having never personally attended a GP your videos are the best illustration of what it’s actually like to be there that I’ve ever seen. The electricity of being there comes across in droves.
