It will be interesting to hear his thoughts next year, haven’t really heard too much F1 lengthy talk from him apart from when he did Melbourne quali on ONE earlier in the year. Do wonder though how many weekends he’ll cover?

He commentated a little at this years Australian GP I think. Must admit he wasn’t wildly exciting to listen to, but maybe with a bit more practice he can be a great asset to us all!

Nobody can fix Ten’s coverage. How much is he and Alan Jones being paid? That money could be used for FP1, FP2 and FP3 with less ads!

Greg Rust, Alan Jones and now Webbah?

That’s the holy trinity of Australian motorsport right there.

I think Mark would make a more interesting commentator than AJ to be honest. AJ just seems a bit ‘out of the game’, so to speak, whereas Webber’s knowledge is much more up to date (even without having driven a 2014 car). Of course, it’s even better that we still get to listen to the Sky commentators, hahaha.

I’d personally like to see the V8 Supercars crew + Webber over Rusty and Jones. In my opinion, they just have so much more to offer. There are some full V8 races on youtube if you want to check them out (including the last 5 or so Bathurst 1000’s).
