Hi everyone,
In response to Doug’s thread with the best curves of F1 put together, I thought i could show you my own track. It’s quite old (i’ve done that 2 years ago. I still love my layout !
Can you tell me what you think of it ?

You’ll find three pictures:
a general view and 2 top views.
See you !

There’s no way the start line would be included on a curve like that. And if the circuit is 6.3km long, that’s a very long pit lane – drivers given a drive-through could conceivably set a faster lap time than if they went around the actual circuit.

3rd October 2011, 15:44 at 3:44 pm #179715ChalkyParticipantAgree on the pit lane. I reckon the speed limit on the pit lane would have to be really low to make Hamiltons compulsory drive through effective. :D
3rd October 2011, 15:50 at 3:50 pm #179716gwenouilleParticipantYou are right about the pit lane: i should move it to the straight line (toward the end).
Apart from the pit lane, do you like the flow of the curves and general shape ?
3rd October 2011, 16:10 at 4:10 pm #179717raymondu999ParticipantI’m slightly concerned about the “bridge” you have; is that really going to go semicircle like a normal bridge as you have there? That thing could launch a Formula 1 car at full pelt!
Sorry to be nitpicking mate but is it possible to remove the wither lines? that way we can see clearly which lines are the actual circuit.
3rd October 2011, 17:19 at 5:19 pm #179718F1abwParticipantIt is very good and I like the design (which software is used?) but I have to agree about the pits and the bridge, it’s a bit up down too quickly for an F1 car. It would work better as a smooth bank upwards towards T4 I think.
3rd October 2011, 20:11 at 8:11 pm #179719gwenouilleParticipant@Raymondu: oh no! Of course the track is flat zhen crossing the bridge, think of it as an iron bridge a bit like that famous Newcastle bridge.
Indeed i have to re design the pit lane ! I am not at home at the moment, so i don’t have the file to work on! maybe during the next days.
