Don’t remember seeing this on the FOM feed. Quite a high speed shop actually with the speed difference of the cars.
25th March 2013, 1:23 at 1:23 am #229447codesurgeParticipantAt least Webber didn’t cut in front and brake check him.
25th March 2013, 1:24 at 1:24 am #22944891jb12ParticipantLive feed just as the camera cut away I saw him veer right. Now i know what it was about
25th March 2013, 1:53 at 1:53 am #229449plushpileParticipantWill be interesting to see if we hear any more about the chop, or if the conversation stays on teh team orders
25th March 2013, 2:16 at 2:16 am #229450AnonymousInactiveIf I was Webber…. I would have just fallen back to eleventh… just to teach em a lesson… Even if it means screwing up your own chances at WDC… They need to brake check SV´s ego bad!
25th March 2013, 7:19 at 7:19 am #229451Aish HeydrichParticipantLol nice one. I concur with JB ^ it would have been interesting. If not eleventh, at least off the podium by going behind the Mercs.
25th March 2013, 7:52 at 7:52 am #229452katederbyParticipantMaybe he “didn’t mean to do it”…
25th March 2013, 8:08 at 8:08 am #229453mnmracerParticipantI didn’t see Vettel do this after Silverstone ’11, Abu Dhabi ’12 or Brazil ’12. Makes you wonder who is the 11 year older driver…
25th March 2013, 8:09 at 8:09 am #229454wsrgoParticipant@mnm…well said, and i agree(perhaps agreeing with you on anything for the first time)
25th March 2013, 8:43 at 8:43 am #229455katederbyParticipantI’m sure after that Webber found it “hard to sleep that night”…
25th March 2013, 15:42 at 3:42 pm #229456himmatsjParticipantWow, never knew about this till now. And the intent was clear for all to see. I’m sure that rattled Seb’s balls a bit!
25th March 2013, 16:34 at 4:34 pm #229457mrgrievesParticipantThat was as bad as what he did in the race. While Vettel made the move on the pit straight and Webber pushed him towards the wall, Quite similar to Schumacher & Barachello in Hungry 2010 except no noises made about it. There’s two incidents of dangerous driving unpunished.
26th March 2013, 13:09 at 1:09 pm #229458MazdaChrisParticipant@JB Teach who a lesson? By dropping back he’d hurt his own championship chances, and the chances of the team to win the WCC. The team told Vettel to stay behind him, remember, so the only person at fault as far as Webber is concerned is Vettel. And the only person who wouldn’t be harmed by him dropping back, is Vettel.
26th March 2013, 14:17 at 2:17 pm #229459CristianParticipant@JB: Rosberg should have done the same. Massa should have done the same…so many times.
26th March 2013, 15:01 at 3:01 pm #229460AnonymousInactiveMassa should have done the same…so many times.
What do you think he did for most of 2012??
Teach who a lesson? By dropping back he’d hurt his own championship chances, and the chances of the team to win the WCC.
There you go…. It would have taught them that he will take maters into his hands as well if they don´t keep the kid´s ego in check and play by team orders.
The sad thing is… that kid could only get passed Webber avter Mark had mapped down his engine… What a coward that makes him look. It´s like going to a gun fight with a Gatling gun like the terminator and Mark only has a .22 to “defend” himself… - AuthorPosts
