F1.com has been running these interviews where drivers answer the same series of questions. I thought it might be fun to hear F1 Fanatic readers’ answers to the same questions.

Here’s mine, I’ve cut out the ones about “arriving in the paddock” etc…, post your answers below:

Q: Are you the kind of guy to have a ‘Plan-B’?

    Plan B. Then C, and then D…

Q: Who is your dream date?

My wife – we’ve only been married three weeks!

Q: Which film last made you cry?

I think the only film I’ve ever cried at was “United 93”, at the end.

Q: What are you afraid of?

    People I love getting hurt.

Q: What was the last book you read?

    “The Diary of Samuel Pepys”

Q: What is your favourite way to relax?

Curry, beer, friends. Or an evening on the sofa with a good film.

Q: Have you ever – or would you ever – dye your hair?

    No.

Q: Name five things that you hate?

Cheesy music, facial hair, traffic, business jargon, bad food.

Q: Do you have any tattoos or piercings?

    No.

Q: What did your teachers say about you in your school reports?

Nice things generally, though one of them told my parents which girls in their class I’d dated.

Q: Who were your childhood heroes?

    Nigel Mansell.

Q: Do you have any guilty pleasures?

    Vast quantities of chocolate.

    Q: Do you collect anything?

    Autocourse annuals.

Q: What was your worst buy?

A six-month pass to my local swimming pool, just before the season started. Haven’t used it yet.

Q: How do you take your coffee?

Frequently, with milk and no sugar.

Q: Your ideal non-race Sunday morning?

Lazy breakfast with the Sunday papers. Last happened in February.

Q: What was your first vehicle?

Fiat Punto 55. Lasted me six years.

Q: What’s the most embarrassing mistake you’ve ever made?

A few weeks ago while proofing Cari’s article on Patrick Depailler I somehow changed “broken legs” to “broken eyes”. I was mortified – and worse, it looked like Cari’s mistake. Sorry Cari!

Q: What is the best thing you can cook?

Sausages in onion gravy with mash.

Q: When was the last time you were really angry?

The other day when the site went down during first practice at Spa.
