Thanks all for a good race and kind words. Can’t say it was enjoyable as last year’s, most of it was just trying to manage the gap and not make a mistake in the wet. It makes you respect how hard it is for the real drivers when it is raining at night though! Luckily I managed not to make too many mistakes, had a minor spin but luckily ended up pointing the right way and on the tarmac, so I didn’t lose too much time. I also got lucky that no one had taken the second Peugeot 908, which despite being down on top speed was a demon in the corners!
@supernicebob Yes, I’m definitely keen for more races – Spa, Suzuka, Daytona, Nurburgring, Laguna Seca, Monza, etc.
@sato113 Sorry I couldn’t hook you up with a car mate, glad to see you at least made the race though. And thanks for being considerate when being lapped :)
And finally, thanks to @magnificent-geoffrey for running the race again, pity you had to leave during the race as you were looking good for a strong finish. I hope the emergency wasn’t too serious!
@sato113 I’ve tried doing everything in that link. Have tried with other cars. I think it might be something to do with the car being worth more than 1,000,000 cr. (note comment at bottom of the link). Sorry mate, wanna turn a couple of laps in practice :(
@sato113 It seems as though I can only use “Share with friends” option. When I try to press “Give to friend” it says it can’t be given. Does anyone know if that means he can’t use it?

Absolutely agree with ed, the first half of the race was really intense, fun racing, and it was really enjoyable to drive like that for so long with such minimal contact. Definitely the most enjoyable race i’ve had in a very long time.
The end of the race was quite interesting, my strategy of doing 5 laps on hard tyres every stint was the quickest option, I think, but it ended up putting me behind everybody else when it came to my last 4 lap stint.
So I put on the medium tyres and was quite a bit quicker than the leading pack, though I re-joined about 30 seconds behind. I caught that up pretty quickly on the new tyres, but when I caught everyone it was rather difficult work overtaking, with slightly laggy internet connection making the cars jump around a little on the straight. I don’t really remember a lot of what happened on the last lap, I think just about everything that could happen did! It was a bit of a fluke that I ended up second out of all of that, it was amazing how after 24 laps we all ended up so close.I’m greatly looking forward to doing it all again next year (in fact, I wouldn’t mind doing some more races a bit sooner than that, if anyone is interested. 700PP race at Spa, for instance?). Thanks again to Damon and Steve for organising the race :)

Also, I’m a little confused. The start time of this event seems to line up exactly with the start of the real race. Not sure if i’ve misunderstood something, though.

@mpj1994 I’m disappointed (though not hugely surprised) that ONE aren’t showing the race this year. I believe that the online livestream that the WEC website provides should be showing most of the race, unless I’m mistaken.

Exciting race yesterday, should be another good one today. Looks like it’s going to be a nice sunny day here in Adelaide. :)
