I did a rough draft for a Brooklands Mclaren circuit, but had a busy few days and didn’t get chance to finish it off before the deadline. Thought I might as well post it as it was what you were hoping to see!

Heligoland – 5.7Km clockwise. This island has some good elevation changes, I worked in a corkscrew style corner at the 1km marker and an eau rouge style just before 5km. I had to build a bridge into the design for the monaco style harbour section.

I’ve gone for a pure street circuit, with inspiration from long beach. Clockwise with the pit straight on the champs-elysees. Plenty of straights for DRS/KERS overtakes.

Given the rate of development in F1, the technological advances made since 93 should have more than compensated for the array of driver aids available back then. I’m thinking along the lines of more advanced aerodynamics, a more stable chassis, faster gear changes, etc. Also I would expect the V8s currently used to be more fuel efficient than the Renault V10 that year, so this adds another variable into the equation.
