And since the Track was en route to my Hotel I drove by to admire the view.

The tower is visible for miles away from the track, Like a shining Beacon for F1. So looking forward to seeing the track tomorrow. But for now heading into Austin to take in the city.

Hamilton on the Toro Rosso’s and the mid-pack in general. Thru pit stops ended up behind the pack two times and both times fought his way through.

Just got this run down from a COTA rep.

We currently have seating options in the Main Grandstand, Grand Plaza (Turn 15), and Turn 1. Page 7 and 9 of the PSL Presentation will show the Grandstand, page 8 will give you a look at Turn 1, and page 4 will show you the Grand Plaza (bottom right picture – the elevated stand to the left of the large red tower/amphitheater). These seats are the best at the track and all come with a personal seat license

    A Personal Seat License (PSL):
    – Gives you ownership of the seat for 15 years
    – You can sell your PSL or transfer it to someone else after 2 years of ownership
    – You have right to purchase tickets for ANY race for your seat
    – You can sell your tickets at any price you desire
    – You pay a 1-time upfront cost
    – You’ll pay an annual season ticket package
    – Season Ticket Package includes F1 (Nov 16-18) and V8 Supercars (March or May of 2013)
    – Any other race is optional

Both the Grand Plaza and Turn 1 have the same price points as the Main Grandstand ($2000, $3000, $4000, $5500). Turn 1 does not have the cheapest option available. Please note that you can subtract $500 from the PSL price if you pay in full upfront.

If the PSL is not an option, we will have General Admission seats that will come out mid-to-late summer. You will still have priority access to purchase these seats over the general public. The prices will be consistent with other F1 races around the world.

Just got the information packet from COTA. All signs are pointing to Grand Plaza as the best seating area on the track? Where is everyone else planning to sit?

    Drivers; Well it kinda reads like present and past Ferrari drivers;

MASSA, Barichello, Alonso, Raikonnen, And Trulli.

And Naturally, my team is Ferrari. Funny because I absolutely love their Road cars but them as a an F1 Team ooze Arrogance and and a culture of always having an unfair advantage over other teams.

I love last year and this year with them the absolute dog of the top teams. They are finally being shown for the team they really are when the playing field is even. And what happens when they dont have a myriad of advantages in their pocket.

Button.. I’m basing this on his performance in 2009. He was a driver who won in the fastest car only at the beginning of the year. Miles ahead of the other teams. Had it not been for the massive advantage at the beginning of the season no way he wins the Champ last year.. You can also say he had great strategy, but I’d chalk that up to Ross Brawn more than JB. I think had Brawn not been on board as the Shot-caller Brawn GP would have been left even farther in the dust that they would have been by RBR and Mclaren at the end of last year. JB’s extreme luck to be in the faster car with the best strategist leaves him as the Luckiest Champion ever. And Luck does not make you are great driver. Just a guy who was in the right place at the right time.

Sure he’s redeemed himself this year, but this year has nothing to do with his performance last year.

Given my background, Watching every race from the beginning of 2007. I came in right when Hamilton came in. so for me Hamilton is the best driver on the Field and has my full support. Mclaren, as such is the team that I root for.

I have a soft spot for naturally fast young drivers. So as such Vettel coming in for Kubica in 2007 and being fast drew me to him early on. Was pulling for Red Bull prior to this year as they where in the quint-essential “underdog” spot, but after completely dominating this year with pace, I have been turned of to them.

Thus my dread for Brawn last year along with Button and Barrichello.

And the final Driver I root for is Kobayashi. Following his great drives at the end of 2009, he earned my full support.

I like racers, not strategist or drivers who look after their equipment.. That to me is BS. Your a F1 driver to Race your car not look after it, so my Biases follows those who RACE.

Well if there is any steam to the story that STR will be taken over by Paris Mullins and his squad would you expect them to retain the current drivers? And the new team taking the 13th spot if they are smart and take over the Toyota design and build from there they have the chance of being in the middle of the new teams?
