@Prisoner Monkeys: It should be pronounced “pick” and the “s” in Charles is silent.
9th November 2011, 9:59 at 9:59 am #140120jihelleParticipantAnthony Davidson, Super Aguri, Hungary 2007 (after colliding with Fisichella ?)
23rd September 2011, 16:32 at 4:32 pm #140070jihelleParticipantI guess Filippinator is right….But it was 1977, and Ian Scheckter was driving a March. James Hunt won. As for who was his team mate, where did Jody finished the race and what was his best result, I don’t know (though I think Ian never scored any point in his F1 career).
23rd September 2011, 10:08 at 10:08 am #140067jihelleParticipantI was thinking Michael Andretti at Le Mans in 1982 on a Mirage with his father Mario but the answer to question 7 would be no and to question 8 would be Ickx/Bell on a Porsche 956 so I don’t think that’s it.
23rd September 2011, 9:42 at 9:42 am #140066jihelleParticipant@Prisoner Monkeys. I think both the 246 Dino and the 156 Sharknose that Gendebien drove at Spa in 1958 and 1961 where work Ferrari and they were yellow. But then we can discuss at length what is “work” (or factory) or what isn’t.
14th September 2011, 5:36 at 5:36 am #140044jihelleParticipantok, let me try this:
Graham Hill Spanish GP 1968, first GP victory in the year he won the World Championship with Lotus.
Kimi Raikkonen Australian GP 2007, first GP victory in the year he won the title with Ferrari.
13th September 2011, 16:53 at 4:53 pm #140041jihelleParticipantYep.
13th September 2011, 13:50 at 1:50 pm #140039jihelleParticipantOk, I’ll take it then:
The first five finishers at Monza were all World Champions. Which year the seven drivers topping the final standings at the end of the season were all World Champions past or future ?
(Hope the question is clear)
8th September 2011, 16:56 at 4:56 pm #140032jihelleParticipantI remember Damon Hill winning with a 2 laps margin in 1995 at the Australian GP but I can’t remember who was second. Stewart also won with a two laps margin but can’t remember when and over whom. He was driving a Matra so it must be 1968 or 1969.
7th September 2011, 11:27 at 11:27 am #140024jihelleParticipantbingo.Your turn.
7th September 2011, 10:26 at 10:26 am #140022jihelleParticipantSo if Kingshark is not taking it, I will:
Since the start of the F1 World Championship in 1950, the Italian GP was always run at Monza. Except for one year: Which year and on which circuit ?
By the way, rearding my previous question from long ago: it was the French GP in 1973. Emerson Fittipaldi and Jody Scheckter collided and this allowed for Ronnie Peterson first GP victory. And here is the very nice video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gpYHfTbBaY
5th September 2011, 12:50 at 12:50 pm #149930jihelleParticipantFixy, it’s way too easy !! (for a Frenchman anyway…)
I’ll wait before I answer, may be someone else knows.
5th September 2011, 7:49 at 7:49 am #149928jihelleParticipantThanks Fixy but this thread looks dead….Unless you have a question yourself ?
5th September 2011, 7:44 at 7:44 am #140019jihelleParticipantIs it Fangio with Varzi ?
21st July 2011, 3:35 at 3:35 am #139973jihelleParticipantNo, it was too early in the season for that.
