Hi Yana,
You shouldn’t need to buy covered grandstand tickets – the weather’s usually beautiful. Not sure what your budget is, but motoexpress have an excellent package to Monza. It’s not cheap, but, if your parents are F1 race newbies, it may be worth considering. My husband and I have used them several times and it’s lovely to have the stress of it all taken away, as well as meeting others.

However, despite checking several days before and purchasing our tickets, South Eastern trains decided to do some engineering work on the Sunday and did not provide enough rail replacement buses for the hordes. It was an absolute nightmare and I wrote a very stroppy letter in protest!

Not cheap, but, given the prices discussed above, it doesn’t seem a bad deal for transfers, tickets (quali and race) and a place to stay for the 4 days. I’m really looking forward to it!
