To me Buemi has been consistently average, while Alguersuari showed more flashes of speed and won the British f3 championship in 2008 against the likes of Sergio Perez, oliver Turvey and Brendon Hartley.

Someone needs to go however as the Red Bull junior ladder is clogging up, let alone Ricciardo they have Jean-Eric Vergne who completely destroyed everybody in British F3 last year.

Remeber all the cars booming it round the forest section at Hockenheim now thats resigned to a childhood memory.

On how i got into f1 the parents always used to watch f1 on a sunday and i think the first thing i can distinctly remember is Senna’s death in 1994 might of been watching before but just sticks because it was soo shocking.

Dad supported Schumacher and Mum supported Hill soo 94/95 were fun times in our house. As for me i only had eyes for those beautiful red ferrari’s or Alesi and Berger 27 and 28, i’ll always remember that :P

car from the year i was born. :) little tricky maybe.

I like the tobacco advertising changes, they should of done that on the late 90’s Mclarens

Maserati 4CLT isnt it, first came about in 1948 i think. Though i think a few were racing during the first years of the world championship so dsob i would put your date of birth somewhere between 1948 – 1952?

Yeah you do have to love a bit of Incubus, favourite band but i haven’t listened to them in time though.

Back to motor sports i think it was great what GT1 did by showing the races on their website, some of the other less well represented on tv series should definatly look into doing it.

I would like to be able to watch the international F3 series that they are having this year, but as the calendar is a mix of British, European and stand alone events I don’t hold much hope of there being a stable tv broadcast through the season.

Does anyone have a list of where motor sports can be seen on TV for 2011, ive managed to get a bit of a list together soo far.

    F1 – BBC

    WRC – ESPN

    IRC – Eurosport

    WTCC – Eurosport

    BTCC – ITV4

I’ve drawn up a list which I think would be realistically achievable by 2012/2014 a compromise between new markets and old classics.

1.Abu Dhabi – A grand flashy opening to the season (plus i only feel the need for one middle east race)

    2.India

    3.Malaysia

4.China – give it a bit more time to tap into that so far elusive promised market

5.Spain – preferably at Montjuich Parc but that is hopeful (Catalunya would do)

    6.Monaco

    7.Canada

    8.USA

9.France – Deserve a race at either Paul Ricard or Magny Cours or Paul Ricard

    10.Britain

    11.Germany

12.Austria – see if Red Bull has given the old Osterreichring any of its character back

    13.Russia

    14.Belgium

    15.Italy

    16.Singapore

    17.Korea

    18.Japan

    19.Australia

    20.Brazil

The ultimate bridesmaid has to be Moss 4 times runner up 3 times 3rd in the championship. Bearing this in mind i would say.

    1.Moss

    2.Ickx

    3.Villeneuve

GT1 really was fantastic this year, great that they had the coverage on their website too.

However if you listen to the recent news (mainly in autosport) far from two new cars joining, several teams including Maytech Ford and both Corvette teams are looking unlikely to make it back next year.

    Hope they pull through….

Contrary to how it ealier appeared, according to Autosport, the Renault launch at autosport international show is only a livery launch :(

Bring back Montjuic Parc, what an incredible and beautiful circuit. However always linked to this track would be the safety aspect and i am assuming that running modern f1 cars around such a fast sweeping street circuit would be a problem. And runoff areas such as those found on streets in Valencia and Singapore would not be available.

However in my opinion the best ever Spanish circuit, a shame its been consigned to the history books, both circuits we have today are some of the most boring neither promoting overtaking or excitement.

I got the F1 1976 DVD review, the 70’s reviews from Duke are great, seeing the old footage is fantastic. I just wished they were a bit longer, and that they actually talked about what was going on the screen haha.

Oh yeah Rindt & Ickx battle Germany 1970 looked amazing, along with some of the classic slipstreaming battles from Monza.(Of course ive only ever seen them in short clips, so if anyone knows where to get hold of full races.

My favourite however has to be Hamilton/Raikkonen Spa 2008.I was there and it was soo intense one minute the McLaren fans were upon there feet next second the Ferrari fans. I was soo gutted when Raikkonen crashed, watched the end of the race then drove straight back to England, couldn’t face the Mclaren fans in the English camp-site (though Hamilton was disqualified later) :)

Best moment: Kovalinen spinning twice in monaco qualifying as (he later told the press) that he could make up the 0.910 he was off getting into second qualifying. Good try mate.

    also

    Red Bull celebrations at Monaco

Worst Moment: Team orders from Ferrari and the Bahrain GP
