@catracho504 why are you derailing this thread about Button and Hamilton with incorrect information and conspiracy theories about Vettel and Red Bull?

Hmm, it sounds like they have quite the network of companies…

    * Octane Racing Group (ORG) is the Montréal-based promoter of the Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada to be held in Montréal June 8-9-10, 2012

    * Octane Motorsports Events (OME) is the Montréal-based promoter of the Edmonton Indy of the IZOD IndyCar Series to be held in Edmonton July 20-21-22, 2012

    * Octane Management (OM) is the Montréal-based promoter of the NAPA Auto Parts 200 presented by Dodge of the NASCAR Nationwide Series to be held in Montréal August 16-17-18, 2012

OME filed for bankrupcy and next year’s NAPA Auto Parts 200 was cancelled

The carelessness he committed was not worthy of a world champion.

That’s wrong. Was it careless? Yes. Was it stupid? Yes. Does it make him any less worthy of a world champion? No way. Every world champion has made mistakes and was penalized for them. Mistakes are part of the sport.
“a world champion shouldn’t make mistakes like that” – Show me mistakes that are worthy of a world champion? The world champion is often the one that makes the least mistakes. No mistakes are worthy of a world champion.

I have to agree with Hare to a certain point. Some of the new moderators (I believe they are new, or they simply changed nickname) seem to mod more agressively than last year. I’m unsure if the directives they were given were a bit more precise on what is acceptable and what isn’t, or if some mods simply give a little less leeway.

The way the new chat works does feel a lot more structured and I think it discourages the social aspect a bit.

This is just a guess, but I expect than during a single event, a lot less messages get posted to the chat this year than we’ve seen in the past. Whether that’s an improvement or not is debatable, maybe we are just cutting out the spam!
