    hey once more,

edited the track and made it quite a bit longer since these classic tracks used to be like that.

    Stolberg-close-to-Aachen-Ring 2.0

8.9km, anti-clockwise, best viewed in map-mode (not satellite).

Description: The start/finish is just after a long left hander, so the grid will have a curvy shape, just like in old Silverstone. So between finish line and km1 you find a sweeping right hander that ends in a tightening left-hander to slow the cars down and finally lead them to a nice right-hand-hairpin for overtaking reasons. From then on there is the Faux-Rouge and a nice high-speed-passage up to the next hairpin at km3.
Accelerating through a looong left followed by some nice Esses and an evenly tricky high-speed part with some heavy braking just shy of km6, somre more Esses in which you need some guts to go through fast followed by a double-not-so-easy left hander around km7, a tricky right and the backstraight with some heavy breaking before you reach the finish line once more.

Minor tweak at about km1.4 at “Am Roten Kreuz” and “Igelweg”, which looks right on the satellite, but can be clearly seen zooming in on the map. So no additional road in a classical sense.
Minor tweak at approx. km6.3: I straightened the track a little between “Würselener Straße” and “Steinbachstraße” which looks still okay on satellite since there is already asphalt. No additional road in a classical sense as well.
Two new roads of about 300m at km7.2 to connect given roads to make them a proper part of the backstraight. It’s all forest, so that’s a minor deal I suppose.

    Cheers.

    hi there,

first-timer here, just came across that thread yesterday night and found it to be quite astonishing. So I decided to get an account and draw a little track of my own:

This is a track near Aaachen, Germany, the so called Stolberg-close-to-Aachen-Ring. ;)

I found it to be quite classy looking, having long-sweeping curves and some tight hairpins and good overtaking opportunities in general, also some sort of Faux-Rouge between km 1 and 2. Enjoy.
