There is access on the Thursday, but only through the La Source entrance, there’s usually a long queue, but its good natured, then a dash to the pits when they open the gates, the drivers do come out but not for long, but you’re inside the circuit for perhaps 2 hours, photo ops galore on the start finish straight. then out come the Quad bikes and you’re herded out like sheep to the bootleg merchandisers, chip stall and pub serving delicious cherry beer. I enjoy it a lot :)

Easily a couple of hours queueing for the pitwalk, and the drivers don’t come out for long.. Not sure about Free parking on Thurs, it could be.

They only open the gate at La Source for the pit walk, so if you’re staying at the Elephant or Eau Rouge Camping (No shuttle bus on Thurs) leave extra time to get to the right entrance.

The Allo Allo sells food, meatballs, frites, that sort of thing but it’s basic in the extreme! You can walk into Francorchamps from the Elephant, there are restaurants there which get busy after the race but are ok most of the time.

Hi Alan, we’re in the same boat as you! 1st time at Spa and driving from Mansfield, we’re camping at the Elephant though, but other than that my questions are the same as yours! will our little 2 person shelter tent get trampled by Germans??
