Hamilton on Vergne. Even with the power/car advantage I still have no idea how he pulled that pass off… and cleanly too.
21st July 2014, 11:49 at 11:49 am #267539TommyBParticipantVettel’s pass on Raikkonen was pretty brave. On the grass to get by Kimi whilst trying to hold off Alonso at the same time.
Not been a race with so many great overtakes in a long while.
18th December 2013, 0:05 at 12:05 am #247238TommyBParticipantI seem to remember Vettel running number 15 on one of his helmets as a lucky number back in 2010 or 2011.
It’s also the car number he had for his first victory for Toro Rosso and Red Bull Racing.
25th November 2013, 22:54 at 10:54 pm #245850TommyBParticipantLike most F1 journalists they suffer from short memory syndrome. “Oh Grosjean has had a good last three races, let’s put him second.” Despite him having a terrible start to the season and almost getting fired in Monaco.
1st November 2013, 19:07 at 7:07 pm #244451TommyBParticipantNice we’ve finally seen one but I bet you any money in three of four races time we’ll never see it again.
They bring out these amazing things – helmet cam, ghost camera – then a few races later, gone.
15th October 2013, 18:39 at 6:39 pm #241551TommyBParticipantSurely teams could just use spam bots to Tweet them, or even run competitions like “Vote for us and win an autograph.” This so, so, so stupid.
17th September 2013, 17:12 at 5:12 pm #182778TommyBParticipant‘No the cars not fast, I’m talking about the phone.’
It’s funny cos it’s true.
5th September 2013, 12:06 at 12:06 pm #240302TommyBParticipantThat second video is a great layout. It’s a slight variation on the MotoGP layout and I like that they use turn 2 of the oval instead of turn 1.
It won’t beat the oval of course but having both would be great :)
3rd September 2013, 15:05 at 3:05 pm #240293TommyBParticipantGreat news. Now they just need to race on it.
America have Indy Road Course, Circuit of the Americas, Road America, Road Atlanta, Laguna Seca… but no, they decide to race on ridiculous “race tracks” like Baltimore and then wonder why it’s complete carnage every time.
2nd July 2013, 10:16 at 10:16 am #238461TommyBParticipantVettel’s attempt to recreate the famous Mansell/Senna moment from Silverstone failed when no one wanted to pick him up.
1st July 2013, 15:18 at 3:18 pm #23829126th May 2013, 20:52 at 8:52 pm #236642TommyBParticipantTK’s Indy 500 curse is finally broken! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Kanaan#Indianapolis_500
We were robbed of an incredible run to the line but hearing the crowd going nuts when they realised TK was going to finally win, that was an equally incredible way to end the race.
Goosebumps just thinking about it. I was teary during those final two laps.
24th May 2013, 20:35 at 8:35 pm #236895TommyBParticipantWhen GP2 drivers seem to do nothing but crash into each other right now, those guys going three/four wide at that speed without any contact is seriously impressive. Great respectful racing between them all.
22nd April 2013, 7:59 at 7:59 am #232157TommyBParticipantSo so happy for Sato, eases the pain a little from Indy last year.
An absolutely bonkers race for the championship, everyone who was up front in the title had a nightmare race. The top five in the race were P13, P14, P23, P10 and P26 in the championship before the race.
14th April 2013, 12:26 at 12:26 pm #231127TommyBParticipantMassa’s move on Hamilton was brilliant and unexpected.
