    SUMMER BREAK

    Week 25: Spa

    Week 26: Monza

    Week 28: Abu Dhabi

    Week 29: India

    Week 31: Singapore

    Week 33: Suzuka

Week 34: South Korea (with Turns 5-7 and 11-13 cut out)

Week 38: Portero de los Funes

    Week 39: Interlagos

*The calendar is built around Monaco so I imagine it would have to be here even if it splits Spain and Portugal

We’d have to go back to putting Melbourne early on the second weekend of March otherwise the calendar would end a week before Christmas. Even then it’s a long calendar and I’ve only used 24 races. If Bernie really wants 25 there are going to have to be a lot more back-to-backs

I think that while a 25-race calendar is indeed possible, it would only work if the races were arrayed properly. Something like this:

1 – Australian Grand Prix, Albert Park

2 – Malaysian Grand Prix, Sepang

3 – Chinese Grand Prix, Shanghai

4 – Korean Grand Prix, Yeognam

5 – Japanese Grand Prix, Suzuka

6 – Singapore Grand Prix, Marina Bay

7 – Indian Grand Prix, Greater Noida

8 – Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Yas Marina

9 – Bahrain Grand Prix, Sakhir

10 – Turkish Grand Prix, Istanbul Park

11 – Russian Grand Prix, Sochi Olympic Park

12 – Hungarian Grand Prix, Hungaroring

    13 – German Grand Prix, Nurburgring/Hockenheim

    14 – Belgian Grand Prix, Spa-Francorchamps

15 – British Grand Prix, Silverstone

16 – French Grand Prix, TBA

17 – Monaco Grand Prix, Monte Carlo

18 – Spanish Grand Prix, Aragon

19 – Italian Grand Prix, Monza

20 – South African Grand Prix, TBA

21 – Canadian Grand Prix, Montreal

22 – United States Grand Prix, Austin

23 – Venezuealan Grand Prix, TBA

24 – Argentine Grand Prix, Potrero de los Funes

25 – Brazilian Grand Prix, Interlagos

The hardest thing was getting the South African Grand Prix right. It’s very isolated compared to everything else, so I had to run the European leg backwards to finish in Monza. The only problems with the calendar is that Monaco moves away from its traditional place on the calendar and it’ very late in the year for both Canada and England.

    Week 1: Melbourne

    Week 2: Sepang

Week 4: Macau! – Im not sure we’d be allowed to do it but it’d be an awsome street race

    Week 5: Chinese Grand Prix

Week 6: Bahrain – I’d like to see it as the outer-ring circuit, but definatly no middle bit

    Week 7: Istanbul

    Week 9: Monaco

    Week 11:Montreal

    Week 12: Watkins Glen

    Week 14: Indianalpolis

Week 16: Motorland Aragon (thank you person above, i’d forgotten about this)

    Week 17: Silverstone

    Week 18: Donington

    Week 20: Nurburgring

    Week 21: Hungaroring

    SUMMER BREAK

    Week 25: Spa

    Week 26: Monza

Week 28: Imola (stuff off Rome – this is now a great and much safer circuit, despite the painful memories)

    Week 30: Singapore

    Week 33: Suzuka

Week 34: Jaypee Group Circuit (Dont look too bad!)

Week 36: Korea (erm well i might re-phrase after next weekend)

Week 38: Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, Mexico (im not sure i’d get anywhere near a FIA license but hey)

    Week 39: Interlagos

    22. South Korea – Yeongnam

    23. Japan – Suzuka/Fuji

    24. Argentina – San Luis

I have tried to put it in a logical order. Germany and Japan would both have alternating tracks. South Africa, Finland and Russia would have to build circuit or maybe street circuits.

Monaco would never be that late PM, even in a fantasy world. They would just give up hosting a race. By the way, why don’t you go from Malaysia to Singapore to Japan? Also I think it would be better to go to South Africa after Bahrain and then to Turkey, it’s a little less fiddly than coming all the way from Italy and then going all the way to Canada.

I know. But I put it there because the only way to get a full 25 races is to follow them in sequence. This calendar moves from east to west; it never doubles back on itself.

<blockuote>By the way, why don’t you go from Malaysia to Singapore to Japan?

Because then they’d be in direct competition with one another, which would be bad.

Also I think it would be better to go to South Africa after Bahrain and then to Turkey

But then I’d have to enter the European season from there and Bahrain-Turkey is shorter than Bahrain-South Africa. I’d also be at a loss with what to do about the European leg, because we’d wind up in Sochi and then have to double back.

it’s a little less fiddly than coming all the way from Italy and then going all the way to Canada.

The alternative was to go from South Africa to Argentina, then up through Brazil, Venezuela, Texas and into Canada – but that would mean Montreal was the season finale during the winter months.
