Malaysian Grand Prix predictions

Will Brawn be fastest again in Malaysia?

Will Brawn be fastest again in Malaysia?

Brawn GP may be the favourites after their one-two in Malaysia but with rain threatening Sunday’s race could be tricky to predict.

Name your predictions for pole position and the podium below.

At the Chinese Grand Prix the F1 Fanatic Predictions Championship 2009 will begin. This weekend is your last to hone your predicting powers before we start counting up the points.

Here’s how the game works:

1. Predictions have to be made before the beginning of FP3.
2. Only one set of predictions per person.
3. You have to predict (a) Who will be on pole position and (b) What the top three finishers will be.
4. Players score:
a. ten points for correctly guessing the pole sitter
b. ten points for naming one of the top three in their correct position, 25 for naming two of the top three and 50 for naming the whole top three correctly
c. five points for correctly naming any other driver in the top three (but not in the correct position)
5. Whoever scores the most points over the 15 races from round three (China) to 17 (Abu Dhabi) wins the grand prize. There will also be runners-up prizes…

Details of the prizes will be announced later. In the meantime, let’s get on with making our predictions for this weekend. Remember – this one doesn’t count towards the Predictions Championship.

Please post your predictions in the following format: start with your user name (try to pick a unique one), then the name of your pick for pole position, then the top three drivers in order, using only their surnames.

Please do not add any other characters on these five lines – this is to make it easier to put all the competition entries together and process them.

Here’s my prediction for the Malaysian Grand Prix:

Keith Collantine
Button
Vettel
Alonso
Hamilton

Make your predictions now. Remember – predictions close when the third practice session begins on Saturday…

The Australian Grand Prix predictions results have been updated following the changes to the podium order.
