Sebastian Vettel is taking advantage of his back-of-the-grid starting position to change some of his power unit components without it affecting his starting position.
The Ferrari driver has taken his sixth engine, turbocharger and MGU-H, each of which will incur grid penalties, but will be of no consequence as he is already starting at the back. He has also changed his gearbox without it having been used for six consecutive races, which will lead to a further grid penalty. Vettel’s total penalty will be 25 places.
However Romain Grosjean will feel the effect of a five-place penalty for changing the gearbox on his Haas following his crash during qualifying yesterday. He had been due to start from 14th place.

Good for him. The carry over penalties worked for the top cars but not for the lower position cars, however for the sake of sport the FIA ought to have to done better, this is what you get with the relaxed rules. Good for Ferrari and Vettel to exploit the rules, Ferrari, the villains should profit as well.
