  1. Rosberg has just torched the track today.

  2. What a lap from Rosberg! Stellar drive, Hamilton had no answer for that. Ricciardo made a superb lap too and took the chance left by Hamilton’s slip up. The Toro Rosso are on fire too! Good job from Kvyat which has the old car parts. And an unexpected 9th from Alonso (lucky to get through Q2 though).

  3. Well done to Ricciardo and Rosberg for putting together a fantastic lap. With Kimi behind Max the start should be nice and spicey.

  4. Ricciardo and Rosberg were mega. Hamilton and Verstappen weren’t. And with Raikkonen once again behind Verstappen, I wonder how many safety cars we are going to see tomorrow.

  5. @keithcollantine the mclaren’s and williams’s drivers are wrong

    1. the positions I mean

  6. That was dynamite from Rosberg! Great stuff also from Ricciardo! Terribly unlucky for Vettel, confusing from Hamilton. And that sly fox Alonso is in P9! Kudos to the Toro Rosso’s and that is some consolidation for Kvyat, .2 away from the ever-impressive Sainz.

So Ferrari has a mission to let Seb down as much as they can? Barhain was horrible, now this. Oh no!

  8. Any views about Perez speeding under yellow flags, if he is guilty what is the likely penalty?

    1. @rahulm he does lose time on the first yellow that he catches in his lap (for Grosjean) but not too much, in fact he loses so little time that it doesn’t look like something he did voluntary. He than catches the yellows for JB and even though he does slow down he proceeds to overtake Gutierrez under yellows (one may argue that Gutierrez was completly out of the racing line).

I was under the impression since the Rosberg incident such circumstances should be taken as a red flag and the drivers were advised (here is were the lines get blurry, if it is and advise and not a rule) to abandon the lap completely (please correct me if I am wrong)

With that said I think he will take a penalty (10 places drop maybe?), but if he does it comes too late for Bottas, he was robbed a place in Q3

  9. Keith what happened to the 80’s grid. That was awesome!

  10. Any predictions on who will lead after turn 1?
And will VES manage to pass Hamilton at the start?
Another slow start off the grid from Hamilton will certainly make this race more interesting in many respects.
